Since Vatican II, the Magisterium of the Church has turned its attention to the entirety of media and to their influence in the church community, producing numerous documents from the conciliar decree Inter Mirifica. It seems that small space has been dedicated to the tools of social communication in the new Code of Canon Law, especially in Title IV of Book III, De instrumentis communicationis  et in specie de libris.

Luca Lorusso attended the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy and holds a doctorate from the Pontifical Gregorian University.
