Images

We recommend to provide images with a resolution of at least 300 dpi. It means that if you want to print an image of 8cm x 5cm (equivalent to nearly 1000 x 600 pixel) , the format of this image must be at least 300 dpi. If the image is smaller than the desired one, you can't expect a good printing result. Resampling with Photoshop or with other photo-retouch software is not valid, on the contrary, vector formats can be printed in any dimensions.When it comes to files taken from web pages such as logos, they generally have an image resolution of 72 dpi, therefore inappropriate for printing.

We recommend to provide images with an adequate resolution, (vector format is better), mostly if you want to create something such as brochure or meeting posters with different dimensions .

We remind that file dowloaded from internet are under Copyrights, therefore they can't be used!

We recommend to do not insert images and graphics in Word documents, but in a separate document to simplify data processing and the work of publishing staff .

Graphics

Graphics can be provided as images with an adequate resolution (see above) or in eps.
If it is an Excel file, you can provide also the Excel source data to regenerate it.

Tables

Tables can be provided already inserted both in Word and in Excel and can be relocated when necessary according to the general publishing rules.

Camera Ready

Only PDF format is considered in that way. In order to be accepted the file must respect the following standards :

• fonts must be included all in the PDF generation : the use of Bibleworks font is recommended,  if you don't use Bibleworks font, you have to send all family font.
• Print format must be the same arranged according to the estimate;
• Text must be only in black, not rich black that is a mixture of bold black and other colors;
• lasciare spazio adeguato della gabbia dell’impaginato dai margini (1 cm) a meno di specifica richiesta di grafica ai bordi da parte del cliente e da concordare al momento del preventivo.

Don't exitate to contact the Publishing House for clarifications about file generation. Publishing will evaluate PDF validity at the time of its presentation and may ask for generate it again.

Books:

The authors are recommended to provide work files divided in chapters. The chapters must be numbered in progressive order according to the right sequence for page layout as well as for   probable contributions of different authors when it comes to periodicals.

Written text must have clear references to the images:
•  Images must be numered in a progressive order;
•  Images must have a their own caption;
•  Images must respect image standard (see above: image section).

The same goes for graphics and tables.

The authors are recommended to provide the final version of the text file, according to the publishing rules, to avoid extending time of production. If corrections involve  a  time of production increase of 10% will apply a change of extimated costs.

When it comes editing rules you can see “Norme Tipografiche”edited by Professor  Ronald Meynet, Pontifical Gregorian University.

We're processing rules for every series.

For  proposals of manuscripts edited by Professors we enclose a form to fill.
